Project Description
“School-Level Road Safety Awareness Program for Children” at Albert Secondary School today
as part of the ongoing Road Safety Week campaign.
The awareness program was specially organized for students of grades 6 and 7 with the
objective of promoting road safety knowledge and encouraging responsible behavior among
young learners. Program Coordinator Rotarian Damodar Nepal delivered an informative
presentation focusing on essential road safety practices. He explained how children can stay
safe while walking on roads, the importance of obeying traffic rules and signals, and the role
students can play in spreading awareness within their families and communities.
During the event, the club’s past presidents also addressed the students and emphasized the
importance of discipline, awareness, and civic responsibility in ensuring safer roads for
everyone. They encouraged the children to adopt safe practices from an early age and become
responsible citizens in the future.
The program was organized under the “Road Safety Week” initiative announced by Rotary
International District 3292, being observed from May 13 to May 19.
Among those present were Club President Prem Kumar Oli, Past President Indira Parajuli,
President-Elect Sujita Adhikari, School Management Committee Chairperson Shambhu
Pokharel, teachers, staff members, and Rotaract representatives.
