The Rotary Club of Dillibazar officially handed over a newly constructed girls’ toilet facility to Durga Secondary School in Garamani, Jhapa. The construction of this important sanitation facility was financially supported by Rotary International District 3292, reflecting Rotary’s ongoing commitment to improving health, hygiene, and educational infrastructure in public schools. The handover ceremony was held on Monday, Mangsir 15, and was attended by Rotarian Mr. Bhakti Prasad Pathak of the Rotary Club of Dillibazar and his spouse, Mrs. Narmada Kharel, as special guests. The program was conducted in the presence of the Chairperson of the School Management Committee, local social workers, teachers, and members of the school community. During the program, Chief Guest Rotarian Bhakti Prasad Pathak also handed over “bell paper” learning materials to support visually impaired students studying at the school. This initiative highlighted Rotary’s dedication to inclusive education and equal learning opportunities for all students. Mr. Krishna Pandey, Chairperson of the School Management Committee, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Rotary Club of Dillibazar and Rotary International District 3292 for their generous support. He stated that the newly constructed girls’ toilet facility and educational materials would greatly enhance the school environment and contribute to students’ dignity, comfort, and academic progress. The Rotary Club of Dillibazar continues to actively engage in community development initiatives, with a strong focus on education, health, and social welfare.
