Project Description

The Rotary Club of Dillibazar, Kathmandu, organized a special program on Thursday to hand over sports equipment to the Central Higher Secondary School for the Deaf in Naxal. The initiative was held to mark Rotary’s Basic Education and Literacy Month, with the aim of supporting children with hearing impairments through recreational and confidence-building activities.
The program was attended by Club President Rotarian Prem Kumar Oli, Immediate Past President Sagarnidhi Tiwari, Secretary Sandhya Rajbhandari, Past President Dr. Parthiveshwar Prasad Timilsina, Past President Yuvaraj Adhikari, Past President Indira Parajuli, Rotarian Saurav Pant, spouse Bishnu Parajuli, Rotaractor Rejina Lekhak, and several others. Their presence highlighted the club’s collective commitment to social responsibility and community development.
On the occasion, President Oli expressed that he viewed the collaboration with hearing-impaired children as an inspiring opportunity. He shared his happiness in being able to provide sports materials and emphasized the club’s dedication to carrying out similar socially responsible programs in the future. Club officials echoed the belief that such initiatives play a vital role in enhancing children’s self-confidence and overall growth.
The equipment provided included footballs, volleyballs, basketballs, cricket sets, skipping ropes, badminton gear, and other recreational items. By organizing such programs annually, the Rotary Club of Dillibazar continues to contribute meaningfully to education, inclusivity, and the empowerment of children through both learning and play.
