Project Description

The reconstruction of the police beat in Ward No. 29 of Kathmandu Metropolitan City has been successfully completed. The structure, which had been damaged during the recent protests, was rebuilt through the joint efforts of Rotary Club of Dillibazar–Kathmandu, Rotary Club of Bhadgaon, Ghattekulo Samaj, and several other organizations.

As part of the project, all the damaged facilities within the police beat were either repaired or replaced. Burnt beds, broken doors and windows, damaged cupboards, fans, lighting, water supply systems, and even the complete painting and finishing work were carried out. According to police officials, with these upgrades, the unit will now be able to provide services more efficiently and in a safer environment.

Just last week, Rotary Club of Dillibazar had also extended support to the nearby police circle by handing over essential relief items. These included food supplies, gas cylinders, stoves, and other daily necessities, which have helped ease the living conditions of the security personnel stationed there.

The collaborative reconstruction initiative, achieved with the active involvement of the local community and various organizations, is expected to strengthen the bond between the police and the residents. Moreover, the restoration and ongoing support are believed to boost the morale of the officers, enabling them to continue serving the community with greater confidence and motivation.
