Project Description

The Rotary Club of Dillibazar successfully concluded its much-anticipated Table Tennis Tournament, an event aimed at strengthening fellowship, promoting healthy living, and enhancing the club’s public image. The tournament was jointly inaugurated by Chief Guest, R.I. District Public Image Chair Amit Giri, and Club President Prem Oli. President of RC Rajdhani, Shiva Raj Bhatta, also graced the occasion as Special Guest, adding further significance to the event.

The competition saw enthusiastic participation across both men’s and women’s categories. In the Women’s Category, Indira Parajuli secured first place, followed by Sabita KC in second, while Sujita Adhikari and Deepa Shrestha jointly placed third. In the Men’s Category, Manohari Thapa emerged as the champion, with Sumit Kunwar taking second place, and Indra Shekhar Khadka and Bishnu Parajuli finishing jointly in third position.

Awards were presented by Past Presidents Mohan Krishna Shrestha, Punya Prasad Paudel, and Arun Regmi. First-place winners received a shield, trophy, medal, certificate, and cash prize, while other finalists were awarded medals and certificates in recognition of their efforts.

President Prem Oli emphasized that the tournament not only fostered stronger fellowship among members but also supported the club’s public outreach and membership growth. Tournament Coordinator Rtn. Balram Sapkota was commended for his efficient management of the event.

Chief Guest Amit Giri praised the Rotary Club of Dillibazar for its contributions in social service, culture, and sports, and encouraged expanding the tournament to the district level in the coming years.
